Herefordshire Aero Club Based at Shobdon Air Field, near Leominster, surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to the Welsh hills, we are the only licenced airfield in Herefordshire. We enjoy a vibrant, friendly club, with good food, great flying and maintenance facilities as well as the benefit of being unimpeded by controlled airspace restrictions. Whether you are an experienced pilot or would like to learn to fly, we cater for all needs. Learning to Fly Learning to fly is a unique experience. From your very first take-off you will be enjoying the freedom, challenges, beauty and privileges of flight. Few other activities bring such rewards during the initial learning process and even fewer bring the sense of satisfaction associated with your ‘first solo’ Our experienced instructors, all of whom are fully qualified commercial pilots can train you for both the National Private Pilot’s Licence or Joint Aviation Authority (JAA) Licence which offers greater future opportunities. Flight Training At Herefordshire Aero Club we believe in making flying affordable, but low prices shouldn't be confused with low quality. We own all our aircraft, we purchase fuel direct from Total UK Ltd, have an in-house CAA Approved M3 Maintenance Division and even manage Shobdon Airfield. All these factors help contribute to some of the lowest prices in the country whilst maintaining the highest possible standards.
