Goodwood Flying School

The Private Pilot's Licence, PPL, consists of a minimum of 45 hours training. 25 hours musts be dual, with 10 hours supervised solo including 5 hours of cross-country flight time. The remainder can be a balance of dual and solo. The PPL requires a Class 2 Medical as a minimum, and is offered at Goodwood on either the Cessna 172 or Piper Super Cub. There are 9 ground examinations as per the LAPL.

Once you hold your PPL you can fly your family and friends as passengers throughout the UK and Europe. The PPL is intended as a flying licence for the pilot's private recreational use which means you cannot be paid or rewarded for their flying. The licence allows the pilot to fly in good weather conditions for their own pleasure.
