Hull Aero Club runs Beverley Airfield [EGNY].
It provides hangar space, aircraft hire and pilot training. The club’s activities include general flying (light aircraft), microlight and paramotor flying.
The club also has an established group of aero-modellers and it provides a meeting place for non-flying (social) members.
The club started life at Hull Municipal Aerodrome near Hedon where, on 11 August 1930, it was open to welcome Amy Johnson on her return from Australia. Since then it has had various homes including Paull and Brough. It moved to Beverley Airfield near Leven in 1991. The airfield is situated in quiet Yorkshire countryside where you can relax, meet friends and enjoy the fun of flying. You will be welcome as qualified pilot, an aviation enthusiast or just a passer-by. As a student pilot, you could be on the way to gaining your flying licence!
hull paramotor300 Beverley (Linley Hill) Airfield – our official name – complies with all Civil Aviation Authority requirements for flying training. The airfield is clear of controlled airspace and other restrictions and is an ideal place at which to begin flying. We have well-qualified, highly experienced instructors who are able to teach beginners as well as more experienced pilots. Pilot training is offered for the current UK/European licences for private flying in light aircraft and microlights and we are fully equipped to cover the necessary written and practical exams. Training is also offered in paramotor flying.

Visitors will find Beverley airfield ideally suited for a flying trip to the Yorkshire Wolds and the coast. When not flying, a visit to the nearby market town of Beverley is well worth while. The town is host to a number of cultural festivals during the year. It has two magnificent churches, a famous racecourse and many other attractions. We can advise on overnight accommodation locally or provide some space on the airfield for a small tent.
